It would be a shame for Clive Owen to stop his movie career to do theatre, but I completely understand. There is a certain element to theatre which can be very rewarding on a personal level, so it is understood but I do hope he remains on the silver screen as well.

Although it seems to be a hoax, I’d be very glad to see Clive Owen on stage. One of the things, I’d have liked most to see was the London production of Patrick Marbers’ Closer, with Ciarán Hinds as Larry and Clive Owen as Dan. I’ve seen a video recording in the National Theatre Archive, alas the picture was as bad as Neil Armonstrong’s walk on the Moon, but even with the sound only, I enjoyed it very much.
