A forthcoming film showcasing some of the stunning landscapes of Australia has recently finished shooting.
Starring Clive Owen, The Boys Are Back had a budget of around AU$18.5m (£8.2m) and shot in more than 30 destinations around the state of South Australia.
The film’s shooting locations included the beaches of the Fleurieu peninsula and the vineyards of the Adelaide Hills.Speaking to the Adelaide Advertiser about the movie, Owen said that it was set against an ‘incredible backdrop’ and described its locations as ‘some of the most stunning places I’ve ever seen in my life’.
The new film represents the first time that director Scott Hicks has worked in South Australia since making his Oscar-winning movie Shine in 1996.
A number of other well-known and successful movies were shot in the region, including Mad Max and Gallipoli, both starring Mel Gibson, Picnic at Hanging Rock and Holy Smoke.
